- The Firework season runs from late October into the New Year and is likely to be a stressful period for most pets because of their extreme sensitivity to noise. It is very important that the needs of pets are addressed because the anxiety problems that some experience tend to magnify not only in the immediate short term but also in succesive years. There are several simple practical solutions that can help in the home and there are also many products that can help, such as pheromones (feliway or "DAP", available as collars, sprays or vaporisers), sound therapy and herbal remedies.
